Tmail

Tmail is a Trinity-branded version of Google's Gmail, a cloud-based email system. All Trinity faculty, staff, and current students are assigned a Tmail email address ending in @trinity.edu when their TU Network account is created (note they are not the same credentials). All Trinity business should be conducted using your Tmail account, although Gmail is free and you may sign up for a personal account that is separate from your Tmail account.

Once Tmail has been set up, you will automatically be able to use the same username and password to access all the software included in G Suite for Education (Google Drive, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides, Sites, Hangouts, and so on). Starting in the fall of 2017, all Trinity Google accounts (Tmail, Drive, Calendar, etc.) will also require 2-Step Verification in order to log in.

Getting Started

New Students

Tmail accounts are created in the semester (or summer) before enrollment. Your TU Network username and Tmail address will be emailed to you. Your temporary passwords will be sent separately in a letter to your home address. If you need help accessing these two accounts for the first time, please contact the ITS HelpDesk at (210) 999-7409.

New Employees

Your Tmail account will be created after a Trinity ID number has been assigned to you by Human Resources. New accounts are created by ITS within 3 business days of new-hire paperwork being submitted to HR and the account information is sent directly to the department administrative assistant. To check on the status of a new account, you can call the ITS HelpDesk at (210) 999-7409.
