How to Access VDI

Body

  • Through the web at vdi.trinity.edu. Select VMWare Horizon HTML Access and log in using your TU Network credentials and Duo MFA. Enter Trinity for the domain.
    • After logging in with your TU Network credentials you will be prompted to enter a DUO login.
    • In the "Next Code" field you may enter a passcode from the Duo Mobile app or Token
    • OR
    • Type in "push" and press Enter to send a push to your Duo Mobile app.
  • Note:  This method of connecting to VDI does not require a download, but should be used for smaller and basic computing tasks. For better performance and functionality, the VMWare Horizon Client Software should be used.

Please Note: Anything you save to the virtual desktop while using VDI will not be saved once you log off, and you must log off the desktop when you no longer need to access it. If you need to save your work while using VDI, please save it via an email to yourself, in Google Drive, or in your network storage drive folder.
