TU Secure

TUSecure is the wifi network for Trinity students, faculty, and staff and requires TU Network credentials. It gives users access to all private Trinity network resources and provides wireless encryption. Follow these instructions if you are connecting to TUSecure for the first time from a computer:

  1. Select the TUGuest wireless network.
  2. Launch a browser and sign in using your TU Network credentials.
  3. Go to http://secure.trinity.edu
  4. Click the gray JoinNow button after verifying your operating system.
  5. Follow the prompts to configure your connection for the TUSecure wireless network. You should now be connected to TUSecure. If not, manually choose TUSecure in your list of available networks.
  6. Close any open browsers, then launch a new browser window.
  7. If prompted, install the required software.

TUGuest

TUGuest is for all campus visitors and those who do not yet have TU Network credentials. Guests can create temporary accounts which will allow them immediate access to the internet.

  1. Choose TUGuest from the list of available wireless networks on your computer or mobile device.
  2. Once connected, launch a browser window.
  3. Choose Create Login
  4. Enter your email address and click Submit
  5. Make a note of the password given to you. Your username will be the email address you entered. Click Ok when done.
  6. Sign in using your email address and the 4-character password provided in the previous step.
  7. A "Web Authentication" window will appear to confirm your login was successful. You are now free to use the campus wifi network.

Note: Your guest wifi account will remain active for 24 hours. If you need additional time, just create another guest account by repeating the above steps.

TUDevice

Most mobile devices (smartphones and tablets) can be used on the TUSecure wifi network without any registration process. Simply select the network TUSecure and enter your TU Network credentials.

However, some internet-capable tech devices (e.g. Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo Switch or Wii, e-readers, Roku, Apple TV) may not support TUSecure, which uses 802.1x authentication. If this is the case, you can use the TUDevice wireless network. Select TUDevice in the list of available networks and enter the password trinityu.

Note: Certain devices, including smartTVs and Amazon Echo, will only connect if they have been added to an approved device list. To get your device listed, please email helpdesk@trinity.edu and include the device type and its MAC address.
