Set Up DUO (Multi-Factor Authentication)

DUO MFA is currently for faculty and staff only.

**You will only need to do this once unless you change devices

Step 1: Using your smartphone, visit either the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) and download the DUO Mobile app (iOS example below).

Step 2: Open a web browser on your computer and go to dag.trinity.edu and enter your network credentials

Step 3: Follow the instructions on the screen. Our examples are for use with a mobile phone:

Step 4: Once you are at this step, please choose your security code preference. The “Ask me to choose…” option will always prompt you to either use a push notification or to send a text message, whereas the “Automatically send…” option will always send you push notification via the Duo Mobile app installed on your smartphone.

Success: You have successfully installed Duo and are now ready to use it.

Need Help? 

You may experience issues with Duo if: 

  1. New Device
    • We have enabled the Duo Instant Restore (which requires a user to set it up on their device) which will allow Mobile App settings to be backed up and restored on a new or replacement device
    • Currently, there is no way to self-register a new or replacement device if Duo Instant Restore wasn't enabled, so if you need to set up a new device, please reach out to ITS to have the account reset
  2. Account Lockout
    • If a user locks out their Duo account (10 failed attempts), they will need toreach out to ITS to have the account reset
