O'Reilly (formerly Safari Books Online)


O'Reilly (formerly Safari Books Online) is an online technology and business learning platform available free of charge for all Trinity students, faculty, and staff. This subscription is jointly funded and managed by the Coates Library and ITS.

This professional development digital library includes around 50,000 ebooks, videos, and pre-print manuscripts from O'Reilly Media and other publishers (Springer, Wiley, Cisco, IBM Press, etc). Most of the book and video topics focus on technical or business skills, including:

  • Software
  • Programming languages
  • Leadership and management
  • Engineering
  • Design and digital media
  • Desktop and web applications
  • Math and science
  • Personal finance
  • Entrepreneurship

Getting Started

Safari Books Online from O’Reilly is a collection of ~50,000 ebooks and videos, covering topics in computer science, business and management, personal and career development, engineering, software and Web development, drawing and painting, and travel. The collection has recently been updated with a new user interface and now provides the Trinity community with unlimited simultaneous users.

Access Instructions:

  • Click here to access O'Reilly Safari Books Online
  • Before entering the O'Reilly main page you will need to enter your Trinity University credentials to access  
  • Once you have entered your credentials you will then be able to search the O'Reilly platform 

Tip: O'Reilly's collection of ebooks can also be found in the Coates Library catalog or by using the library's main search tool!

 

O'Reilly App

O'Reilly also offers access to your account through a free mobile app called the O'Reilly app. Use this app on any mobile device to access your personal account, download books and videos for online and offline use, and sync your personalized queue on the go.
